During this presentation, delivered in the session Building Infrastructure of the Future: Risk-Informed and People-Centered Governance, technical details of the construction of GIRI were discussed. As of today, GIRI is the only global index with a holistic approach to assessing infrastructure resilience against disasters, making it a versatile and appropriate tool for communicating current risk and resilience levels. It provides guidance for informed actions aimed at reducing infrastructure risk.
