Ingeniar participated in the session “Global Infrastructure Risk Assessment” in the framework of the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, ICDRI 2021. The session discussed the notion of disaster and climate risk assessments at the global and national scales and take stock of the global state of global practice, indentifying gaps and chart directions for future work in this area.
In the session Ingeniar presented the probabilistic risk assessment methodology for infrastructure, that goes beyond of assessing risk to individual infrastructure assets to assessing systemic risk. The session closed with a discussion on methodological aspects and the perspectives from national and sub-national levels on utility of risk assessments. The outcomes of the session will inform CDRI’s work on Global Infrastructure Risk Assessments.
